1 box Penne Pasta
1 1/2 Pound ground beef
1 recipe my yummy pasta sauce recipe
Cook pasta to desired tenderness. Brown ground beef.
Pasta Sauce Recipe
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 small onion chopped
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 cups catsup
4 tbsp. lemon juice
1 to 2 tsp. Italian spices
3 good dashes of Worcestershire sauce
Hot sauce to taste
Mix first six ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil and turn down to simmer for about 20 min.
Add catsup and rest of ingredients and simmer until mixture cooks down and thickens about 30 to 45 minutes
Add browned ground beef to pasta sauce.
Left over sauce will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks. It is a good one to make ahead of time if your planning a cookout. I like to start thinking about doing summer things this time of year. I get ready for spring and planning some good vegetables and flowers, My husband plants lots of sunflowers every year all around where they can be seen from every window. They are so beautiful.
